NEXT EVENT Game Watches For 2010-11 will begin with BC football on either 9/11 vs Kent State or 9/25 vs Virginia Tech depending on broadcast availability. The season opener vs Weber State will be shown online via ESPN 3 (formerly ESPN 360) | NEW HOME FOR BC GAME WATCHES Game watches will be held at The Rookery which has agreed to host game watches for all televised Boston College football, and selected basketball and hockey games. The Rookery The Rookery is "an upscale live music venue" located on Pennsylvania Avenue between Georgetown and Washington Circle (GWU). The closest metro stop is Foggy Bottom / George Washington University. There are two large screen HD televisions on the second floor, and one on the first floor. The second floor has a large open area with limited seating, and the first floor has seated dining space. The venue is accessible to persons with disabilities. The Rookery will offer beer and appetizer game watch specials. There is also a more extensive menu, wine list, beer selection, and spirits for those who so choose. Please note, the Rookery's normal dress code -- "no hats, no athletic clothing, collard shirts required" -- will not be enforced for game watches. Alumni, friends, and guests are simply asked to dress appropriately for a sports event. Porter's, our home for five seasons, closed last spring. |
Eagles In DC is a group of Boston College alumni, fans, and friends in Washington, DC that organizes game watches and other social events usually centered around athletic contests involving the Boston College Eagles.
Eagles in DC coordinates with and urges participation in the Boston College Alumni Association and the Washington DC Alumni Chapter.
